Lime Kiln Hillside Glow Night Rain Wolaita Sodo
String lights cast a warm, flickering glow against the rough stone walls of a lime burner's kiln built into the dark hillside. Rain slicks the ground, turning the soil into a dark, reflective surface that mirrors the amber illumination. Above the floor, a metallic haze hangs low, diffusing the light and softening the edges of the nearby blast furnace structure. The stone masonry shows signs of heavy use, with soot staining the lower courses while water beads on the uneven surfaces. Wet leaves rest on the hillside above the kiln, their dark green tones against the bright artificial light. The air appears thick with suspended particles, visible only where the light cuts through the damp night. One puddle at the base of the wall reflects the flickering bulbs and the rough texture of the stone blocks beside it.
