Lime Kiln Overgrown in Predawn Firelight

Warm orange firelight spills from the hollow throat of a crumbling lime kiln, cutting through the cool blue of predawn darkness. Rough, cracked brickwork shows layers of soot and weathering, while late spring vines creep over the masonry, their green leaves stark against the gray stone.
