Libyan Rooftops Blue Hour Fog in high above patterned rooftops in Libya

Libyan Rooftops Blue Hour Fog

by Daisy Swain

Deep indigo shadows blanket the geometric rooftops of a Libyan settlement as the sun dips below the horizon. Late autumn air allows thick ground fog to pool in the depressions between the structures, creating a soft, white texture against the dark earth. A faint rim of cool blue light traces the highest edges of the buildings, separating them from the encroaching night. The patterned arrangement of the roofs forms a stark, cartographic grid that stretches across the frame. The fog rises slightly around the base of the walls, obscuring the ground level while leaving the upper silhouettes sharp against the twilight sky. A sharp shadow line cuts across a flat roof surface, marking the precise angle of the remaining ambient light.
