Lantern Trail on Dark Lake Near Port Harcourt Shrine

Golden late-afternoon light floods a shrine courtyard near Port Harcourt, where rows of paper lanterns hang from wooden eaves. In the center, a long exposure shows a glowing streak of amber light, the trail of a lantern carried on a small rowboat across the black water. The sky above churns with dramatic, heavy clouds that break to let bright skylight spill over the scene. Wooden pillars frame the view, creating a window into the dark lake beyond. Rough bark textures on the shrine posts contrast with the smooth, fluid motion of the light trail. The dry season air leaves the water surface glassy and deep, reflecting the chaotic sky above. A final streak of fire ends abruptly against the shadowed hull of the boat.
