Lacquered Pillars in Restored Train Terminal Little India

Deep crimson lacquered pillars rise from a polished stone floor, their glossy surfaces mirroring the soft, diffused light filtering through the terminal's high arched windows. The rain-slicked courtyard visible beyond the open arches reflects a gray sky, casting shifting patches of silver and blue across the interior walls. Intricate gold leaf carvings adorn the pillar capitals, catching the ambient glow while the heavy wooden beams overhead create a rhythmic shadow pattern. Water droplets rest on the outer window frames, blurring the view of the distant urban landscape. The air remains still, showing the quiet dignity of the space. One reflection of a passing cloud slides slowly across the wet pavement near the base of the nearest column.
