Kayak in Morning Fog Maputo Mangrove Channel
Cold silver dawn light washes over a narrow mangrove channel near Maputo, where a solitary kayak rests against the twisted roots of dense vegetation. Thick fog softens the distant bends of the waterway, creating a narrow corridor of visibility that runs deep into the scene. The kayak's hull reflects the pale, metallic sheen of the early morning sky, against the dark, textured bark of the mangroves rising steeply on either side. Moss rests on the lower branches, hinting at the turn of seasons, while the water remains still and glassy. One shadow from a hanging root falls across the bow of the boat, at the base of the vessel in the quiet, vast solitude of the channel.
