Dawn Light Through Jamaican Mangrove Canopy

Soft overcast light falls through the dense, dark green canopy of a mangrove forest clinging to a salt-sprayed cliff edge in Jamaica. Thick prop roots anchor the trees in the still water below, their surfaces glistening with morning moisture from the rainy season. The water reflects the muted gray sky and the deep shadows of the foliage, creating a seamless vertical flow from the cliff face to the channel floor. Distant haze lingers low on the horizon, softening the outline of the far bank and adding depth to the composition. A cluster of aerial roots hangs just above the water line, their rough texture against the smooth, dark surface of the channel.
