Iron Towel Hook in Rome

A heavy iron towel hook protrudes from the rough, textured plaster of a narrow Roman kitchen wall, catching the ambient glow of street lamps filtering through a nearby window. The metallic surface shows signs of age with faint scratches and a dull sheen that contrasts against the warm, yellowish hue of the surrounding stucco. Below the hook, a folded white linen towel hangs loosely, its fabric slightly wrinkled from daily use in the cramped domestic space.
