Iron Padlock in Stockholm

A heavy iron padlock secures a rusted chain to the black metal railing of a Stockholm balcony during the first light after rain. The grey steel surface reflects the dull, diffused sky, against the peeling white paint of the wooden frame behind it. Raindrops rest on the textured metal, highlighting the wear and tear of years exposed to the damp Nordic weather. One droplet hangs from the shackle, ready to fall onto the wet tiles below.
