A weathered iron padlock secures the heavy chain of a bicycle to a wrought-iron railing on a Brussels sidewalk. The overcast midday light casts a flat, diffuse glow across the rusted metal surfaces and the gray cobblestones beneath. A damp patch of moss rests on the base of the stone wall behind the lock, adding a touch of organic texture to the industrial scene. Water droplets from a recent drizzle rest on the cold steel shackle, reflecting the pale sky above.
