Indigo Twilight Puddle Reflects Fire Escape

Deep indigo twilight blankets the Victoria street corner, where a shallow puddle on the asphalt shows the sharp silhouette of a rusted fire escape. The pavement glistens with a fine drizzle, turning the wet ground into a mirror that doubles the vertical lines of the iron stairs. Above, the harsh, cool glow of a fluorescent convenience store sign spills light onto the damp surface, creating a stark contrast against the darkening sky. Shadows stretch long and deep, while the metallic texture of the railing appears jagged against the smooth, silvering water. A thin rim of light outlines the upper edges of the stairs, separating them from the heavy night air. The reflection remains perfectly still, holding the geometric shape of the stairs in its dark, oily surface.
