Incense Censer Light Trails in Berat Cathedral

Soft tungsten lamplight fills the chapel interior in Berat, illuminating the deep shadows of late summer night. A long exposure shows the swinging motion of a brass censer as a luminous, blurred arc of golden light cutting through the dim air. Stained glass windows along the walls cast faint, colored patches of red and blue onto the stone floor, mixing with the warm glow of the lamp. The censer hangs from a heavy chain, its metal body reflecting the ambient light. Leading lines formed by the architecture guide the gaze toward the center of the room. The polished stone floor holds a soft reflection of the light trail, at the base of the movement in the stillness of the sacred space.
