Cold silver dawn light spills across dark, tilled soil beside a narrow tractor track in the Khenifra region. A tall wooden hop yard tower rises vertically, its weathered lattice structure stark against a ceiling of heavy, storm-black clouds. The late summer air holds a stillness, visible in the undisturbed texture of the wet earth and the rigid posture of the drying racks. Low-hanging clouds press down on the horizon, swallowing the sky in shades of charcoal and slate. The metal supports of the tower reflect the faint, diffuse glow, while the surrounding vines hang dormant in the pre-dawn quiet. One shadow stretches long across the furrowed ground, marking the exact edge of night and day.
