Green Aurora Corona Over Swedish Desert Escarpment in beneath a wind-cut desert escarpment in Sweden

Green Aurora Corona Over Swedish Desert Escarpment

by Dwight Kirby

A vivid green corona of aurora borealis radiates directly overhead, filling the dark sky with concentric rings of luminous plasma. Below, a wind-sculpted desert escarpment rises in stark silhouette against the celestial glow. The rock face shows rough, eroded textures shaped by persistent cold winds, its dark form at the base of the ethereal light above. Thin ground mist rests on the sandy floor, diffusing the cold moonlight that spills across the uneven terrain. Early spring thaw leaves patches of exposed earth and dormant grass along the base of the slope. The horizon remains a sharp, jagged line where the land meets the infinite night, showing the vast distance between the glowing sky and the silent, frozen ground. A faint shadow of a jagged rock fragment stretches across the misty foreground.
