Gondola Lift Tower on Corduroy Snow Banff

Hard coastal glare strikes the steel cables of a gondola lift tower rising above a slope of corduroy snow. The rhythmic ridges of the groomed run stretch beneath a perfectly clear sky, their white surfaces reflecting the intense afternoon light. Metal pylons stand stark against the horizon, anchoring the transport structure to the turn-of-season mountain. Shadows fall sharply across the textured snow, defining the deep grooves of the grooming tracks. A gondola car hangs motionless from the line, its dark windows mirroring the bright glare. The rigid geometry of the tower contrasts with the soft, repeating waves of the snow surface below. The final shadow of the pylon cuts a straight line across the undulating white ground.
