Giant Flamingo and Fish Chips Detroit Picnic

Indirect afternoon light reflects off pale walls, illuminating a crumpled sheet of newspaper holding golden-brown battered fish and salted potato chips. A massive pink flamingo, towering like a giraffe, wades through the indoor picnic scene, its long legs stepping between the blanket folds. The bird's feathers glow with a soft, saturated pink hue under the window light. Shadows stretch across the textured fabric of the blanket, at the base of the impossible scale of the bird against the familiar food. The newspaper edges curl slightly, framing the meal as the giant creature moves past. A reflection of the flamingo's beak glints on a small chip fragment near the corner.
