Silvery winter light washes the wet asphalt beside a steamed-up bus shelter in Curitiba. A dark puddle mirrors a towering clock face glowing with harsh neon, its hands frozen at midnight. Suspended above the water, a dozen metal coins hang perfectly still in mid-air, their edges sharp against the dramatic, heavy clouds. Steam rises in thick white ribbons from the shelter, drifting across the glass panels. The reflection shows the coins inverted, hovering just above the neon glow. One raindrop hangs motionless on the shelter's metal frame, catching the electric light.
