Frost Needles on Oak Leaf in Summer Light

Translucent ice crystals pierce the brown veins of a fallen oak leaf, their needle-like structures catching the late afternoon sun. The leaf rests on a bed of damp, vibrant green moss, where droplets of water reflect the bright sky. Sunlight falls through the delicate ice formations, illuminating their sharp edges and internal clarity against the dark, organic texture of the wood. The background remains a soft blur of mossy greens and browns, keeping the focus tight on the microscopic details. Each frost spike stands rigid, against the soft, spongy surface beneath it. One droplet rests on the tip of the longest crystal, refracting the light into a tiny, bright prism before the leaf's edge.
