Fossil Jacket on Mule at Dubai Station

Cool blue twilight washes the Jumeirah tidal survey transect as city lights begin to glow in the distance. A mule stands beside a low research platform, its dark coat absorbing the ambient light. Strapped securely to the animal's back is a bulky plaster jacket, its rough, matte texture against the smooth metal housings of the equipment nearby. Indicator lights on the metal casing cast sharp, colored reflections onto the plaster surface and the mule's flank. The scene sits in early spring, with the air clear enough to see the distant urban grid. The plaster casing shows fine cracks and dust, while the metal frame of the platform gleams faintly under the fading natural light. A small red reflection from an indicator light rests on the edge of the plaster jacket.
