Flamingo Giraffe in Ikeja Fitting Room

Warm candlelight glows against the cool blue hour sky visible through the front glass of a vacuum belt fitment board. Inside the fitting room corridor in Ikeja, polished metal surfaces catch small, sharp highlights. A flamingo the size of a giraffe wades slowly across the floor, its pink feathers against the gray concrete. The specialist retail-service detail on the board remains readable despite the impossible scale of the bird. Symmetrical lines of the corridor guide toward the glass, where the daylight flattens the view outside. The bird's long legs reflect faintly on the wet floor, suggesting recent monsoon rain. A small plastic tag hangs from the board's edge, swaying slightly in the still air.
