First Light on Tidal Island Valley Floor

Pale amber light strikes the horizon haze above a wide valley floor near Faisalabad. From a high vantage point, a tidal island rises from the damp earth as the tide recedes. Early winter air settles on the wet ground, leaving shallow pools that reflect the pale sky. Brown and grey tones cover the landscape where flat, glistening mud stretches across the expanse.
