Deep indigo twilight washes the surface of the clear tidal water, reflecting the dramatic cloud formations above. A marine science field station sits beside the survey transect, its structure visible in the low light. The water remains calm, allowing the sky's colors to mirror perfectly on the wet surface. Seasonal shifts are evident in the specific plant life lining the edge of the transect. Shallow depth of field blurs the distant shoreline, keeping focus on the station's immediate surroundings. Metal railings catch the last ambient glow, against the darkening sky. A small instrument case rests on the wooden deck, its surface reflecting the indigo water below.
