Dutch Angle Grain Elevator with Infinite Cooling Tower Corridor

by Sage Newton

Flat noon light falls through green leaves, dappling the corrugated metal walls of a grain elevator in San Salvador. A light drizzle beads on the rusted surface, mixing with industrial grit and charged material dust. The structure tilts sharply in a Dutch angle, distorting the perspective of the loading bays. From one open end, a long concrete corridor extends outward, stretching visibly farther than the physical building that contains it. The impossible hallway fades into the distance while raindrops rest on the metal siding. One puddle on the floor reflects the endless stretch of the impossible corridor.
