The steel structure gleams wetly under a heavy, overcast sky that dominates the upper frame. Below, the calm, dark water reflects the pale, diffused light of early morning without a single ripple. The diver's posture is deliberate, one hand gripping the rail while the other reaches for the next step. Ice crystals edge the wooden planks of the dock, signaling the dead of winter. Negative space surrounds the figure, showing the vast, cold expanse of the harbor near Gothenburg. at the edge is a single droplet of water sliding from the diver's boot onto the wet metal rung.
