Pale stone Corinthian capitals rest in a precise row upon a rough, varnished wooden workbench. North window light spills from the left, carving deep shadows into the intricate acanthus leaf carvings and highlighting the weathered texture of the marble. The background reveals a quiet, dimly lit room where rain streaks against unseen glass, casting a cool, gray tone over the space. Dust settles on the flat surfaces of the stone, against the smooth grain of the wood beneath. Each capital stands as a heavy, solitary object, their fluted columns truncated and their ornate volutes catching the soft, directional glow. at the edge is the dark, damp shadow pooling at the base of the nearest capital where the stone meets the varnish.
