Collapsed Ferry Terminal in Evening Snow
Honeyed orange light from a low sun washes over a remote ferry crossing near Libertad, illuminating snowflakes drifting through the air. The main gangway has failed, its metal ramp bent sharply and resting half-submerged in the dark water below. Rusted railings line the decaying concrete platform, their paint peeling to reveal corroded steel beneath. The water surface reflects the warm glow of the sky, broken by the jagged angle of the collapsed structure. Snow accumulates in soft layers on the empty walkway and the submerged sections of the ramp. A long shadow stretches across the wet concrete, leading toward the distant, tree-lined shore. at the edge is a single icicle hanging from the underside of the broken railing, catching the last rays of the sun.
