Taped paper notices flutter slightly against the glass doors, their Japanese characters legible against the dimming sky. The warm glow of the candles contrasts with the cool gray mist rising from the pavement. Each flame casts a tiny, steady reflection on the damp ground. The arrangement creates a solemn line of light that cuts through the early spring haze.
