Chalk Bucket Beneath Overhang at Makassar Quay

Soft afternoon light diffuses through dramatic, heavy clouds hovering over the harbor quay near Makassar. A weathered chalk bucket sits on wet stone beneath a rugged, overhung climbing wall section. The concrete surface glistens with recent rain, reflecting the muted gray sky. Coarse white chalk dust scatters across the rough texture of the rock face, against the dark, damp stone. The bucket rests at the base of the overhang, its fabric sides slightly frayed from use. Beyond the climbing structure, the calm water of the harbor stretches toward the horizon, bordered by distant industrial structures. One, thick rope hangs vertically from the overhang, ending in a loop just above the bucket's rim. The scene shows the quiet focus of a moment before the next climb.
