The roots rise vertically from the black surface, their rough bark absorbing the ambient light while the water around them shimmers with microscopic organisms. A faint atmospheric haze softens the distant tree line under a moonlit sky, showing cold distance. The stillness suggests the humid air after rain, with droplets clinging to the lower branches. Wet sediment reflects the blue light in scattered patches near the base of the trunks. The composition emphasizes the verticality of the roots against the horizontal expanse of the dark bay.
