Autumn Reeds Over Ramadi Apartment Lights

Deep orange firelight washes the rough, beige tiles of a stairwell near Ramadi, highlighting the texture of worn mortar between the squares. Condensation beads along a nearby glass pane, catching the warm glow and creating a sharp, wet reflection. A double exposure technique layers tall, dry autumn reeds with a grid of distant apartment windows glowing in cool blue and white. The reeds stretch diagonally across the frame, their brittle stalks overlapping the building lights to form a stark, graphic pattern. The contrast between the organic, golden-brown vegetation and the rigid, geometric architecture creates a visual tension. Dark shadows pool in the stair corners while the glass edge remains slick with moisture, at the base of the abstract overlay in a tangible, physical space.
