A thick wool blanket in earthy browns and creams rests folded across a built-in windowseat, its textured fibers catching the harsh glow of overhead fluorescent tubes. Outside the glass, a sheet of rain blurs the deep black of the early winter night, while streetlights cast faint, streaky reflections on the wet pane. The room's corners remain dim, where a small table lamp pushes back against the darkness with a warm, yellow pool of light. Sharp focus defines the raindrops sliding down the window and the weave of the blanket, while the immediate foreground softens into a gentle blur. The rigid lines of the window frame contrast with the organic folds of the fabric, at the base of the domestic space in the quiet stillness of Tando Allahyar.
