First rays of sunrise illuminate a polished black car hood resting on a wind-open causeway in the Sahara. The curved metal surface mirrors the fiery oranges and deep reds of autumn foliage, creating a sharp, inverted landscape against the pale morning sky. Fine sea spray hangs in the air, catching the low light and softening the edges of the reflection. The vast, empty expanse of the desert surrounds the vehicle, showing the isolation of the scene. Cool blue shadows stretch across the hood, against the warm tones of the reflected trees. A faint ripple in the water on the causeway distorts the bottom edge of the reflection, breaking the perfect symmetry.
