Soft, diffused morning light washes over a switchback road approaching Jeddah, where a dark motorcycle stands idle beside a weathered gas pump. The pale concrete of the station contrasts with the reddish-brown gravel of the surrounding desert scrub. Early spring leaves cling to scattered acacia bushes, hinting at the season's gentle arrival. The sky above is a vast, unbroken sheet of pale blue, devoid of clouds yet offering no harsh shadows. Metal surfaces of the pump and bike reflect the flat, even glow of the overcast sky. A faint dusting settles on the rear tire tread, at the base of the machine in the arid landscape. The edge of the asphalt road curves sharply away into the distance, leading toward the horizon.
