Autumn Cider Press on Museum Plinth in Beijing

Warm candlelight washes over a traditional wooden screw press resting on a polished museum plinth in Beijing. Dust particles float visibly within shafts of golden light that cut through the dim room. The press features a heavy timber frame with a metal screw mechanism, its grain worn smooth by generations of use. Deep amber tones from the lighting highlight the texture of the aged wood against the dark, reflective surface of the display base. Above, the camera looks straight down, revealing the circular arrangement of the press components and the scattered sawdust settled in the corners. Shadows stretch softly across the plinth, marking the low angle of the sunset light entering from the side. A faint reflection of the wooden beam glimmers on the glossy edge of the display surface.
