Auckland Bowl at Late Morning Light

Bright late morning light washes over a weathered wooden jetty at Mission Bay, where the Hauraki Gulf shimmers with hard, flat reflections. A solitary, peeling blue rowboat rests on its side against the pilings, its hull scarred by years of salt and sun. Nearby, a terracotta bowl sits overturned on a mossy rock, filled with rainwater that mirrors the pale sky. The scene is quiet, devoid of people, showing the textures of rotting timber and smooth ceramic against the rough, wet stone. One green frond from a nearby palm hangs into the frame, adding a touch of vibrant organic life to the otherwise muted, nautical palette.
