Alaskan Sacred Pool Courtyard Storm Light

Stained light falls through colored glass panels, casting fragmented patches of amber, violet, and deep blue across the wet stone floor of a temple courtyard. The flat glare of an arctic noon sun struggles through heavy storm clouds, muting the overall brightness while highlighting the texture of rain-slicked gray masonry. Beside the sacred pool, heavy fabric drapes hang limp, their folds darkened by moisture and wind. The symmetrical arrangement of stone pillars frames the water, which ripples under the force of a sudden gust. Raindrops strike the surface, creating concentric circles that disrupt the reflection of the stained glass above. One stone ledge along the pool edge holds a small, unmoving offering of dried moss.
