Wooden Ruler in Bilbao

One weathered wooden ruler rests against the damp, mossy stone edge of a bridge abutment in Bilbao during the cool early morning light. The wood grain is darkened by moisture, with faint white measurement markings standing out against the deep brown surface and the rough texture of the wet stone. Nearby, a small puddle reflects the grey sky and the blurred green leaves of overhanging riverbank vegetation, adding a cool tone to the immediate surroundings. A few scattered pebbles lie embedded in the mud beside the ruler, at the base of the object in its natural, riverside micro-setting.
