Wooden boat hauling crab pots in Tanzanian kelp forest

Mist hangs low over the water, diffusing the first light of dawn into a soft, blue-gray glow that permeates a dense forest of kelp fronds. A weathered wooden fishing boat moves slowly through the green stalks, its hull cutting through the surface tension. Heavy crab pots dangle from the side, dripping water onto the deck. The kelp fronds rise vertically, creating a natural corridor around the vessel. Plankton haze blurs the distant horizon, merging the water with the sky. Ripples spread from the boat's movement, distorting the reflection of the pale sky on the wet wood. One kelp blade bends under the weight of a droplet at the boat's stern.
