Winter Pipeline Marker Along Gómez Palacio Dam Spillway

Golden hour light floods the dry winter grassland near the Gómez Palacio dam spillway. A red and white striped pipeline marker stands tall against the fading sky, its metal surface catching the low sun. Heat shimmer lifts from the sun-struck earth, distorting the air above the cracked soil. Long shadows stretch across the dusty ground, anchoring the marker's rigid structure to the soft, rolling terrain. The sky transitions from deep orange near the horizon to pale blue overhead. Beside the post, dry grass bends under the weight of the season. The marker's base rests firmly on the uneven ground, creating a sharp vertical line against the horizontal sweep of the landscape. A faint reflection of the red stripe glints on a patch of exposed clay.
