Winter Flower Fields Above Tajik River Meanders
Deep indigo twilight washes over a vast patchwork of flower fields arranged in parallel bands, viewed from directly above. The river meanders below appear as dark, sinuous ribbons cutting through the agricultural grid. Winter dormancy leaves the crops in muted browns and greys, their textures softened by the humid air that still rests on the ground after rain. Backlit by the fading horizon, the field edges create sharp silhouettes against the deepening blue sky. The scale is immense, stretching to the horizon where the land meets the darkening sky. A faint reflection of the last light glimmers on the wet surface of a narrow irrigation channel cutting across the lower left corner.
