A small window box sits on a rusted metal railing of a Taipei residential building, filled with soil and young green seedlings. The warm late afternoon sun casts long, soft shadows across the terracotta pots and the weathered concrete ledge beneath them. Nearby, a faded red sign with Chinese characters hangs from a neighboring balcony, adding a splash of color to the muted urban backdrop. The leaves of the basil plants glisten slightly, catching the golden light of the setting sun.
