A weathered step stool stands precariously near a window air conditioning unit, its metal rungs catching the harsh late morning glare. Beside it, a chipped ceramic teapot rests on a makeshift drying rack, surrounded by thin scratches on a plastic tabletop that reveal years of use. A faded tea towel hangs limp, absorbing the heat, while a single plant pot in the corner struggles with the intense light, its soil dry and cracked.
