Window Box in Edinburgh

A window box filled with damp soil sits on a stone ledge of a tenement building in Edinburgh. The dark earth is textured with small pebbles and the thin green shoots of early spring growth. Behind the box, the wall features peeling turquoise paint that reveals layers of older grey plaster beneath. One red berry hangs from a dormant vine, providing a sharp contrast to the muted tones of the stone and paint.
