Windmill Interior Grinding Stones Midnight

Soft tungsten lamplight spills across the massive, weathered granite grinding stones inside a windmill arcade near Giresun. Flour dust hangs suspended in the air, catching the glow and drifting down onto the rough stone surfaces. The glass roof above frames a dark midnight sky, allowing faint window light to fall across the machinery and create deep shadows in the corners. The turn of the season is visible in the thin layer of dry dust coating the wooden beams and the cold, still air that settles on the metal gears. One beam of light strikes the edge of the lower stone, highlighting the texture of the worn grooves.
