Wicker Basket in Muscat

A weathered wicker basket rests on a sun-bleached stone ledge near the entrance of a traditional Omani house in Muscat during the late summer heat. The woven texture of the basket contrasts with the smooth, warm tones of the local stone wall, which shows signs of age and exposure to the elements. Inside the basket, a few green dates and a folded white kuma cloth are visible, adding splashes of organic color to the earthy palette. One dried date palm frond lies across the rim, casting a sharp, intricate shadow that emphasizes the intensity of the fading daylight.
