One white ceramic saucer rests on the weathered wooden sill of a window overlooking the historic Main Market Square in Krakow. The flat noon light casts a soft, diffuse shadow beneath the rim, highlighting the subtle glaze variations and a small chip near the edge. Through the glass, the blurred outlines of the Cloth Hall and surrounding tenement facades provide a contextual backdrop without distracting from the still life. A faint reflection of the sky is visible in the concave center of the porcelain, at the base of the object in its immediate architectural setting.
