A small white porcelain tea tray sits on a weathered wooden table, reflecting the flat, shadowless noon light typical of Yogyakarta. The tray holds a single chipped enamel bowl filled with dark liquid, its surface mirroring the overcast sky above. Behind the bowl, a window frame shows peeling turquoise paint that reveals layers of older white and brown underneath.
