Waxy Camellia on Salt Spray Cliff Erzincan

Soft, diffused light washes over a single camellia blooming at the edge of a rugged cliff near Erzincan. The flower's petals display a smooth, waxy texture that catches the pre-dawn gray sky. Fine white salt crystals coat the surrounding dry earth and rest on the lower leaves, evidence of the spray from the nearby terrain. A layer of dust hangs low, blurring the background into a soft haze while the foreground remains sharp. The green stems stand firm against the pale morning air. Deep shadows pool beneath the bloom, at the base of the flower in the dusty soil. A tiny bead of dew rests on the tip of a lower petal, reflecting the cool, still light.
