Water Tower Shadow Over Wuhan Warehouses at Dawn

First light of early summer breaks over a levee path near Wuhan, illuminating the base of a massive concrete water tower. The structure casts a long, sharp shadow that stretches across the roofs of low, rectangular warehouses clustered along the floodwater edge. Ground fog pools in the depressions between buildings, clinging to the damp pavement and softening the transition from the dark structures to the rising sky. The concrete surface of the tower shows weathered gray textures, while the warehouse roofs appear as flat, dark planes under the morning glow. A thin line of mist rises from the water, separating the industrial foreground from the hazy horizon. The shadow edge cuts a precise diagonal across the wet ground, marking the exact position of the sun.
