Perforated Metal Overpass Above Floodwaters

Bright midmorning light floods the scene, reflecting intensely off the swollen floodwater below the levee path in Xinjiang. A pedestrian overpass constructed of perforated metal sheets spans the frame, its grid pattern casting a rhythmic array of shadows on the wet surface beneath. Several footprints press into the damp metal, glistening with standing water that ripples slightly as wind whips across the open structure. The low angle emphasizes the height of the walkway against the turbulent water. Sharp edges of the steel grating cut through the glare, creating a visual rhythm of light and dark. at the edge is a solitary drop clinging to the edge of a perforation before falling back into the churning current.
